Does thinking about filing your taxes give you a headache? The Web sites below provide useful information to help you jump start your tax preparation.
The Milbridge Library also has public access workstations available for you to use to file your federal or State of Maine return online. Before you come in, prepare the paper version. Bring all your paperwork with you for reference. If you plan to ask for a refund direct deposited to a checking or savings account bring that information with you as well.
The library also has the most common state and federal tax forms available. While we cannot help you file your taxes, we can provide the resources to get you started.
State of Maine Tax Information
FastFile
The Maine Department of Revenue site includes three means of electronic filing: I-File, E-File, and Tele-File. Filing electronically will also speed your refund if you have one coming.
I-FILE – File your State of Maine Tax return online for free at: www.maine.gov/revenue/netfile/IFileDesc.htm. You fill out the information, and they do the calculations.

The Internal Revenue Service offers a complete listing of printable and downloadable federal tax forms, publications, and instructions.
