New for July at VisitMilbridge.com
July is a busy time here at VisitMilbridge.com. This month, our site, www.visitmilbridge.com, is filled to the brim with programs and events to suit just about everyone. First up, don’t miss the Milbridge Public Library’s Book, Bake and Bulb Sale on July 9. The Ruggles House host their annual Ice Cream Social and Tout on July 10. Alpacas will be the topic at the Milbridge Historical Society’s speaker program July 12. There’s even a house tour in Sorrento and Sullivan on July 14th to benefit the Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium.
July 16 is the day the Winter Harbor Library hosts their Books N’ Bloom Garden tour of the Schoodic Peninsula; and also the day of the Paint Steuben Day fundraising extravaganza. The Henry D. Moore Library will host their annual Book, Bake and Yard Sale event on July 23.
Naturalists will find a variety of things to do from Eagle Hill, the Downeast Coastal Conservancy, SERC Institute and Acadia National Park. And if the Arts are more to your liking, you can find events and exhibits all over the area.
Don’t miss our featured artist spotlight with Milbridge artist John Bullitt and be sure to catch up with Ora Aselton and her July column where she relishes the delight of our very own Milbridge Farmers’ Market.
And be sure to check back soon for the full schedule of events for the 2011 Milbridge Days Celebration. More details on all of this and at www.visitmilbridge.com. Our site and popularity is growing thanks to all of you. A special thanks to all of our sponsors, we couldn’t do this without your financial support. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend all.
Sincerely,
Mary Spence
